Is dating your best friends ex bad?

Rizing Moon asked: Not just dating, but messing around also. I don’t really care if my best friend dates my ex’s, but he seems to get pretty upset if I date any of his ex’s. So am I not reacting enough or is he over sensitive?

I don’t see the problem. My best friend and her ex went out for 4 months, but I’d liked him before they even got together. When they broke up, I started dating him, and we’re going on three years. Do what feels right to you.

well. i know if a girl dates her best friends ex. it’s usually a huge deal, and sometimes they lose the friendship.
guys on the other hand don’t seem to care. maybe you should ask his permission, and if he really doesn’t want you to, then don’t. he might have really liked the girl? you never know. might want to wait a few months before you go for her.
though if it was a very short lived relationship, i’d probably say go for it.

Well…maybe not bad, just a bad idea. There are lots of fish in the sea, why the old flame of your buddy? And just because someone is an ex doesn’t mean that those love feelings died. He might have wanted to stay together and she broke it off. To me, dating old flames of a friend is just something a real freind shouldn’t do.
