I like the idea of Christian dating service, but?

Bastion The Hero Of Yavin asked: I’m not a wait for marriage kind of guy. Am I asking for trouble and frustration on a christian dating site? Or are some of the christian rules a bit more flexible than others?

I’d avoid christian sites if you don’t believe in one of their important ‘rules’.. try a regular dating site, they usually have a spot for your religion and you’re more likely to find people there who are more relaxed on their views of premarital sex and so on..
I think you know the answer to that one.
Some of them are flexible. Although what you are saying is pretty hypocritical of you. Christians should wait until they are married.
Haha. You must not read the news. Obvioulsy people have sex and do all sorts of things “they’re not supposed to do” before (and after) they’re married.

No the rules are just a strict as any other religion… people just choose not to follow them and do what they want to… which is called sinning… and when you become content with your sin… you are then a backslider and all backsliders will have their place in the Lake o’ fire… so just think about that because tomorrow is not promised to anyone.. DO you really wanna go to hell for 5 minutes.. welll 10 minutes max? lol

Do you go to the grocery store to buy auto parts? No. Why, then, would you use a Christian dating service to find a potential mate among those with whom your values are going to be incompatible? You’re setting yourself up for frustration.

If you truly want to marry a Christian girl, I’m afraid you’ll find that these gals are pretty set on the “wait for marriage” thing.
However, I’m not gonna promise that all the women you might find on a Christian site are Christians.
You could say that you are Tom Cruise…after all, it’s the internet, whose gonna know?…when you are really a fat, dumpy little geek who couldn’t get a girl to talk to him any other way.
Not saying that you, personally, are fat or dumpy or a geek…just sayin’…
Besides, if you date a girl from a Christian web site who doesn’t hold to her own Christian beliefs, how do you know she will honor any other vows she might make in the future?
Now, if I were a guy looking for a wife, I would want an honest girl, at least.
On the other hand, if I were just looking for…you know…whether the girl is Christian or not wouldn’t matter. After all your *ahem* “extra piece of plumbing” can’t tell the difference, eh?

SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE IS ALWAYS WRONG
Just be up front about your feelings so that practicing Christian women know to look elsewhere. The “flexible” ones will also appreciate knowing where you stand I’m sure.
If you are on any religious dating site you should expect the girls to be more into preserving themselves for the right person or marriage. On the good side of that, your looking at girls who are not sleeping around and clean from disease. Be honest and tell them who you are and what you do and don’t want in a relationship and there is a chance a nice non-marriage wanting girl is looking for the same things and for the same reasons. Have you considered international sites? There are many women looking to come to America but not necessarily a Husband. You would marry for her green card fullfill the obligations of the govt. and then divorce. GL!
