Just convert to christianity… I mean as a buddhist, it shouldn’t matter, you can practice both.

Wow, she’s kind of ignorant. I’m a total chritian, but i don’t see anything wrong with going out with someone who is not. Look, she probably just doesn’t like you any more, or maybe she truely does belive it is a sin. you just have to ask her.

I don’t think it matters if you think religion can’t stand in the way… she won’t change her religion so in order for you to be with her you would have to change. She is right though… it is a sin to date a non believer if you are a christian. Obviously if she says she loves you a lot but has to put God first then you must realize that God is very special to her and it’s awesome that she has stuck to her religion so closely.

For her it’s not about religion , it’s relationship …she is devoted to her relationship with God …

It is really sad that people allow an imaginary being to ruin their lives in so many ways. I truly sympathize with your situation and I hope your girlfriend comes to her senses or that you find a better and smarter girlfriend.

Try finding out why she put God first and if you should the same. Ask her to take you to church with her and explain Christianity. You never know you might like what you hear

if she really love then why she bring religion in side

I am a Christian too. And in the bible, it does say Christians should marry/have relationships with Christians.

She is doing the right thing. Don’t be a stumbling block for her in her walk with the Lord…She has a relationship with the Lord and needs your support…be a friend…

2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Sorry it’s what the word of God says….

If you truly loved her, seek the Lord and He will approve of her marrying you, but don’t play games and deceive her, because God is her protection, and you would be judged if you cause one of His daughters to stumble. The bible says you would rather have a millstone tied around your neck and thrown into the sea rather than cause one of His little ones to stumble.

If you love her you will investigate what it is that she believes. here are some sites I think will help you. http://www.leestrobel.com/ and http://www.answersingenesis.org/

The Bible does teach that we are not to be unequally yoked. Which means we should not attach ourselves to unbelievers. Sorry but, she is right though it is painful now, with two different beliefs, it most likely saves you future pain that will be much worse. Have you taken a look at why Christ means so much to her? You may find the answer you need there. Just how much do you love this girl? Is she worth looking into the faith she has, and why?

krazyabouthim September 8, 2010 at 4:55 am

Sorry but I have to side with her on this. As we are to put God first, do you not do this as well. And the difference in the two religions will not work out. One of you would have to give and by her actions it is not her. So the only way is to know God as she does, through Jesus.
Sorry, and I wish I had better news but she is doing the right thing so she can get the best life from God and all the blessings with it.
If you want to know God just ask and seek. For it is written:
Matthew 7:8-12 (New International Version)
8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets
Hope this helps and best wishes.
